Background: Law, Transitions, & The Analytical Mind

My journey to clinical psychology is anchored in a deep, first-hand understanding of high-pressured, demanding environments. I studied Philosophy at Columbia University for my undergraduate degree, earned my J.D. at Brooklyn Law School, and practiced law for twelve years as an admitted member of the NY and NJ Bars.

Driven by a deeper passion for understanding the mind’s relationship with itself and others, I transitioned out of the legal field to earn my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Long Island University - Brooklyn. I completed advanced clinical training at elite institutions, including:

Jacobi Medical Center
The New York University (NYU) Postdoctoral Program in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy

As someone who intimately understands professional and personal transitions, I specialize in helping individuals build internal resilience, voice, and clarity within high-expectation environments, or navigate complex shifts when they no longer align with who they are at their core.

Clinical Focus & Specialty Areas

I approach psychotherapy through an integrative, relationally direct lens. We combine the depth of psychodynamic theory with evidence-based, skills-informed modalities to presently improve your circumstances, work performance, and intimate connections.

Our collaborative sessions are designed to safely address and resolve:

Symptom Management: Unmanageable anxiety, depression, panic, obsessions, phobias, aggression, and paranoia.
Trauma Resolution: Processing and working through past violence, sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, chronic neglect, and abandonment wounds.
Behavioral Disruption: Identifying and overcoming self-defeating behaviors, risk-taking, and high-functioning compulsions or addictions (including gambling, high-stakes trading, drugs, and alcohol).
Identity & Role Conflict: Easing internal friction surrounding gender norms, corporate/professional roles, group identity marginalization, and religious or cultural practices.

The Therapeutic Philosophy: Reclaiming the Silenced Self

To survive demanding relational histories, we adapt by either capitulating to our environments or constantly battling them. This chronic state of accommodation or warfare forces the abandonment of vital aspects of ourselves, eventually hardening into rigid internal walls that cause stagnation, gridlock, and burnout.
